I am looking at creating a game micro kernel for my future games. I would like to know from the vets out there, what things should I avoid so that my micro kernel can run under both DOS and Windows95. I am wondering why some games can run under a DOS shell in Win95 and others need to reboot the machine into DOS mode. Does just changing the Timer interrupt enough to cause Windows to goes nuts in some instances? What things should I avoid? Extended Memory? Expanded Memory? Has anyone already created an efficient game kernel for sale/roylaties/free. Thanks, Robert Hentosh
