I just never saw that, do you have any idea on when happends?, Is in new files? 
Is at the end of the file?, is in any file?, is in syntax highlighted files?

Again I never saw that, what switchs are you using? when you restore the file 
is the Tab-size equal to the tab size used the last time? Perhaps your desktop 
file was corrupted and the tab-size altered, for example from 8 to 3 or 3 to 1 
and hence the problem. I SAW this problem but I'm not sure if was after a 
crash (so perhaps the file was really corrupted by the crash).

Isn't a problem in RHIDE as John said to you we have a patch for GCC to debug 
headers ...
