Does this happen after you run a compiler or any other program that RHIDE 
invokes?  Please try to see whether any of the crashes happen *before* 
you compile/link/run/debug any of the programs, if you only edit source 
files.

Did you indeed have "-o /dev/null" in your GCC command line?  If not, 
where did this /dev/null come from?

Did you indeed not install C++ (gpp2721b.zip and lgp271b.zip)?
