Thanks for all the help...I'm using bash... (If I used copy it would be no problem). I did an alias in bash alias copy='command.colm /c copy' Doing cat foo.ps >lpt1 worked (in bash). But all permutation I tried with cp gave me the message: Does foo.ps specify a file name on the target? Are UNCs considered files? i.e. if I do: cp foo.ps '\\sharename\printer' is it desirable for it to work?
