Have you read the readme's which come with that package??
There is said explicitely that there are problems with the
actual linker (version 2.7) because the libraries contain
object files in mixed formats (COFF and AOUT) which cannot
be handled by the linker. Please read the docs to this 
software, because there is said how to solve this problem.
