Yes, I used SW3.0 too. I upgraded mc though. What you say is very
true, however I find that it is more like you must upgrade/reinstall
every DAY if you want to stay on top. :o) At least we cant complain
that our operating system and its software are never upgraded eh?

No, those window managers are a part of slackware. They've been a
part of slackware since I started. Granted, they aren't all in the X
series of disksets, but they are in the XAP, and other slackware disk
sets. Thats all I was trying to say. I have not had to do any
special downloading. All WM's were in the "slakware" directory on my
CD. Granted, it isn't necessarily easy setting up another WM, but
they are there if you look.

I totally agree with you here. Frequent upgrading is a real pain in
the ***. Same thing with upgrading the DJGPP packages. I find that
just as soon as I'm current with DJGPP, a new RHIDE comes out 2 days
later, then a new "bash", then a new ... I'm not complaining, just
observing. You just have to come to the point where you say, "It
works now, and it works good enough for my needs so why upgrade?"

I haven't installed SC yet, but I will be sometime this week. I only
need it for DOS622, Opendos, Linux, but NT4 server is on my wishlist
(DISCLAIMER: I just want to learn NT to be prepared, not actually
use. :0)

I'm running MSDOS 6.22 under DOSemu 0.64.3 under Linux 2.0.28. Soon
I'll be using OpenDOS too. I hope it works great under DOSemu. I
particularly hope that the multitasker works under DOSemu so that I
can multitask DOS under multitasking Linux. I guess I'm asking for
the world eh? Oh well, I'm getting it so I cant complain. :o)
