Yes, indeed. IBM never was very smart when it came to that sort of
thing. Personally I think OS/2 has way better technology than Win95 but
IBM will never be able to market it as good as M$ does.

Yeah but AT&T doesn't suck :) Most people, me included, react so much
to M$'s monopoly (and they DO have one!) because they hate M$ and think
their OSs are inferior. I use Linux and think it's TONS better than any
M$ OS... plus it comes with source code and is totally free!!! I think
another part of it is, they realise that in time they'll have to use an
M$ OS because of M$'s monopoly. They don't want to leave their
favorite, and probably better, OS.

Yeah, because M$ HAS A MONOPOLY :) Everybody wants to know what M$ does
(or screws up) so that they can compensate for it. Everybodies programs
now have to run flawlessly under M$ OSs because of their monopoly, so,
therefore, people are obsessed with learning about M$.
I've heard rumors than Intel is about to release a new chip, a P7 I
guess you could call it. Apparently it will no longer be x86
compatible. Now, if this is true, and M$ decides not to support this
chip, do you think it'll survive? Probably not... and that's not fair
because the chip will most likely be a huge improvement over even a
PPro200. Why should M$ have this much control over the computer market,
I ask?

People complain about Navigator being free? If that's true then I
agree, that's stupid. Sure, people complained that DOS was 16-bit and
had no GUI... then when windoze came along they complained more...
however, Windoze wasn't 32-bit... therefore, Windoze didn't upgrade that
portion of DOS like it should have. Also, Windoze is increadible slow!
I run Linux and can boot into X-Windows in about 6 seconds on my 486...
Windoze (3.x, 95, or NT) don't even come close!

I understand your points exactly... I'm just playing devil's advocate
because I, myself, don't like M$ and have decent resons for it. I'm not
just a flaming hypocrite like most are.
