Indeed, those of us who are old enough will remember the DATE75 hack-in-a-hack
that spread the three additional date bits across three different words in the
directory structure. (You youngsters can just sit back and laugh at how the
old timers did things...for now.) Take a look at the horrible LFN hair as
documented in Ralf Brown's famous interrupt list, but not on a full stomach.
