GRUB is pretty good, it's the generic boot loader for the HURD. And yes,
I've had occasion to use it. It's similar to the OS/2 Boot Manager in that
it shows a nice window with neat boxes where you can select the OS to
load. And it can select between Linux and HURD (as I've tested). Never
tried it with DOS though yet.
