Did you read the file `emacs.README' before downloading and unzipping the 
package?  If not, then you were amply punished, because that file 
explains all these issues in ``great letters''.  Unzipping with Winzip 
was the right thing to do, but there are other considerations that you 
should know about, and the readme explains them.  If you intend to 
compile Emacs, please also read the file INSTALL after you unzip the 
package (it explains near the end how to build Emacs on MSDOS and 
MS-Windows).

If you still have problems using Emacs, please describe them and you will 
get help.  (I cannot understand from your message whether you managed to 
overcome the difficulties that you mention.)
