That has already been done.  You can get a pre-compiled binary of RCS 
from this URL:

          ftp://ftp.netcom.com/pub/el/elf/rcsdos/.

If you have questions about that, contact Marc Singer <elf AT netcom DOT com> who
did that port.

A 32-bit port of GNU Diff is available here:

It should have now problems with memory (it uses virtual memory).  If you 
run this on plain DOS (no Windows), you will also need a DPMI server; get 
it from here:
