I can only second that. I also started on Intel and used it for a few 
years. More that year ago I started to use DJGPP and found GAS syntax 
much more intuitive and 'natural'. Now I have problems reading 
TASM/MASM code ;-)) And I also don't understand how one can complain 
on anything without giving it a good chance. I, for example, decided that I don't 
like Pearl, but it was after I wrote a few lines with it. For me it's 
just avoidance of effort - I don't mean to offend anybody - and I 
could never understand that kind of attitude. If anybody feels 
offended with what I wrote - sorry, that's what I think...
