Another thing to point out is the LACK of hardware support:  Intel will be
releasing Pentiums later this year with MMX support.  The current
generation of Pentiums and Pentium Pros don't have it.

As you said, Marc, MMX is not quite ready for prime time.  It's not even a
"B" movie at this point. ;-)
