Sometimes it's worth asking a question here a moment before you throw 
your machine out of the window ;-).

Anyway, the issue of floating point computations is both enormously wide
and not specific to DJGPP, so I don't think it belongs in the FAQ.  There 
are a number of good books on this issue, and the case in point is 
usually on page 2 of every such text.
