This is just a quick note to praise a great feature of GNU Emacs: the
decision to use make as the default command for the Compile option.
With the help of the GNU make documentation provided with djgpp, I
found that writing my first makefile was no problem, and that it worked
beautifully with Emacs. Using a macro saved to an Emacs Lisp library,
I just press F7 to compile.
If I had it to do again, I would have started using make as soon as
I had Emacs set up. Well, better late than never <grin>.
Again, djgpp offers not only a compiler but a development environment.
