Of course not! That's why I placed in my very first post to this thread that
my comments were "food for thought" for people that were asking if the hard
work of trying to have Long Filename support for DOS that were not Win95 was
worth the effort.

OTH, may be if the algorithm used by DJTAR could be ported to an AWK or PERL
script, may be we could come close!
