Any program compiled with DJGPP v2 supports long filenames automatically.  
The latest versions of Unzip have a compile-time flag that enables that 
support (actually, it just disables filename conversions to 8+3 limits).  
So I still submit that if you compile the programs by yourself, you don't 
lose anything.
