libbfd.a is a part of the GNU Binutils.  You should download the Binutils
source distribution (bnuNNNs.zip, where NNN is the version number) and
build the package on your machine.  libbfd.a is created as part of the
build process, but is not included in the binary zips because it is only
used by the Binutils programs.
