int main() is the correct version *because* the standard says so.
Period.

Not because you can't imagine a situation where it has no useful
purpose. You cannot justify things by spreading falsehoods, ignorance is
no justification.

I do. In your case its far from obvious that you are my 'better'.
Fruitless debates are best quelled by the truth (and *only* the truth)
