Sure. At least you should have SMARTDRV or some other cache mechanism
activated. (Although, 2 min. are _V_E_R_Y_ long). See the
FAQ for an example how to optimise your machine's setup.

Well, it automagically uses whatever RAM it can grab. 

This one's for the developers:
I just put the alpha release ld.exe on my Netware server:
Link times for a 12 line prog went down to 3 seconds, compared
to 4 seconds with the ld.exe of V2.0 and all files local.
