You can get the VBE2.0 spec at
http://www.rt66.com/~brennan/djgpp/vbe20.zip

and as far as I know, no, it's not a supported VESA function. Tho it
should be...

Look for "Programmer's Guide to EGA, VGA, and Super VGA cards" or something
to that effect by Ferraro. The PC video hardware bible, it is.
