Hello,

I made a comment recently about Emacs being a Unix editor and that I
recommended other DOS editors instead of emacs. This statement was
not in any way made in a negative manner. Nor was it intended to
imply that emacs is not a good editor. I am overwhelmed by the amount
of responses I have got from my post. Let me now state for once and
for all what was originally meant and put this silly thread to rest
so that we may continue with useful discussions.

Emacs is a UNIX editor which has been ported to virtually every
platform known to man. Being a Unix editor it takes longer to learn
how to use it, than say Boxer or another DOS editor. Nonetheless
Emacs is a great editor. I use it myself, and have no complaints.

No offense was meant. Emacs is great for cross-platform developement,
as many have stated.

No reply necessary.
