Don't feel too bad - C++ is such a nutty language that compiler writers
are going insane trying to keep up with the revisions in the draft
standard.  Whereas C works with just 'libc.a', it seems that you need
3 or 4 different libraries for C++.  I'm not particularly looking forward to
learning it myself!  :)
