I just started using DJGPP after a very dissapointing venture with Watcom
C (yes, I am ashamed to say it was a pirate copy and maybe that's the
reason why).
I was knocking up programs in no time and all in protected mode. I am not
a veteran coder (Started in Pascal 4 years ago, then learning C and a
little C++ and ASM) but this compiler is it for me!
It's really funny however...I used DJGPP v1.0 a year ago and I really
didn't understand a thing. A few months later I installed Linux on my
system (where GCC is the norm ;) and when I installed DJGPP last week, all
pieces of the puzzle just fit in.
DJ Delorie: one hell of a coding job. I hold much respect for you.
And: Shawn Hargreaves (sorry if I misspelt) for an excellent library, the
Allegro library.
Bye, Johan.
