greetings:
I use djgpp2 in WinNT and cannot get modetest.exe
of GRX20
to work properly. It seems to find and list most of the
VESA modes okay, and when I select a EGA or VGA mode
(e.g., 640x480, 16 colors) it works. When I select a SVGA
mode (800x600, 256 colors) it locks up (ie, all the status
lights on my Hitachi monitor light up and I have to kill
the Command Prompt process to recover).
My video card is a S3 Vision968 (Diamond Stealth) with 4MB.
Has anyone had success with the above using any graphics
package (eg Allegro) for moderately high resolution in WinNT?
Thanks.
