Please read the DJGPP FAQ list.  Begin with section 10.1 that answers 
precisely the question you've asked, and then goes on to point you to 
other sections that explain what are your alternatives to accomplish what 
you want.

The latest version of the FAQ is available as v2/faq200b.zip from the 
same place you get DJGPP.
