Please post the following info:

	* what go32-v2 prints (in the configuration that is doesn't hang)
	* the contents of your environment (type "set > env.lst" and post 
the file `env.lst')
	* the contents of CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT

I thought disk compression from DOS 6.0 is incompatible with 6.22.  Is it 
true?  (And what is a french dblspace doing in the UK anyway?)

What happens if you don't use SmartDrv when compiling?  Is it SmartDrv 
which comes with DOS or the one from Windows?

If you have Windows installed, try running in a DOS box under Windows 
and see if the problems still happen.
