Hello, I'd like to know what default sizes the libg++/iostream/stdc++ libs use for the filebufs. If this should be platform dependent, I am interested in knowing a way to finding out this size myself (maybe in some header files?). If this should be too difficult for a novice, then maybe someone knows this infos for the OSes DEC UNIX, DJGPP and IRIX. A related question is, if changing theese sizes would improve file-IO performance. Many thanks in advance, Axel Thimm === Axel Thimm <axl AT zedat DOT fu-berlin DOT de> Freie Universitaet Berlin ===
