But this is *already* explained, not in the Makefile, but in the DJGPP 
FAQ list (available as faq102.zip from the same place you get DJGPP), 
section 8.8.  Please get the FAQ and browse it every time you have a 
problem, before you post them here.  Many problems have their complete 
solutions there just waiting for you to be read (that's why the FAQ is so 
large).
