How do you get a Phoenix S3 vision 864 PCI bus video card with 2 Mb VRAM to work with GRX 1.03?

I have tried vesa_s3.grn, vesavdr.drv to no avail.

I have upgraded a 486 Tseng to a Pentium S3 combo. Everything was ok before but now graphics 
mode apps freeze up my PC.

Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.
