hello,

whenever i try to compile a certain bigger project (many includes
ect.) with gcc + ms-dos, i get the following often repeated error:

*.o: undefined symbol SYMBOL_NAME referenced from text segment

what is wrong with it? gcc + linux has no problems with the code.
i got the impression, that gcc does not recognize all #include "*.*"
in the directory and so all symbols remain undefined during
compilation. i think gcc under ms-dos needs a certain path (the source
code has its own directory) or a certain compiler-directive. perhaps i
even got an older version of gcc.

i would appreciate answers under 100626 DOT 3236 AT compuserve DOT com
