Subject:	gzip ill behaves

Under the final beta release of a coming window system
(black CD) I find the following misbehaving program:

gzip.exe (don't know if it came with djgpp but I believe so)
gives errors (corrupted file format) when gzipping/unzipping
a file (around 1 MB) in a DOS box under their DPMI - though the
gzip.exe does not appear to be a djgpp program while running the 
same sequence in a plain DOS environment it works ok.
