Ah, so it's the DPMI thing. Thanks.

Hmmm - I've had no problems like that. The command-prompts window
should show DOS full-screen and DOS window.

I had some memory problems with OS/2 2.1, till I learned how to set the
zillions of DOS session parameters. Presumably that was all inherited
by the new version, as everything seems nice and smooth now with no other
intervention. But as I recall, the icons for DOS window and DOS full-screen
were there all along.

The only thing I was miffed about was the completely undocumented requirement
that to install WARP - even over 2.1 - one needs to boot from their boot
floppy, which comes only in 3.5" flavor, which means your 3.5" drive must
be A:. Since in my wacky old machine my A drive was 5.25", I was stuck till
I opened the PC case and swapped the plugs on the physical drives. I guess
I needed the excuse to do that anyway.:-)

[Actually that helped me discover another reason to keep liking my Mac. :-)]

Can I help? Should we take this to individual mail and talk more?
