I would like to know a little more about outputting text to
the screen whilst in a graphics mode. Obviously this should be done
with GrTextXY(..) or the other similar function, but I am curious to
know why using the cout stream doesn't work consistently: shouldn't it
either work or not work?
If I output to the screen with cout, text usually appears, but
normally with the first character missing. Then subsequent GrPlot()s
perform slightly weirdly. If some text appears, why doesn't it all,
and what causes the thing to screw up on later requests?
Also, if the program exits while in a graphics mode, the text
at the DOS prompt is unreadable, but after a "cls", everything is fine
again, with good graphics text.
I am using the grx library with a Stealth 64 and the
stealth.grn driver.

Thanks!

Mike B.
