Subject: [Q]: GNUmake and Windows 3.11 problem

Is there something special to compile gnumake 3.71 for use under WfW
3.11? I had no problems running other gnu-tools including emacs under
this environment.

gmake simply stops while reading the makefile if I use it in a DOSBox.
There is no errormessage, it simply hangs and I can only kill the
Dosbox.

I tried djgpp versions 1.11 and 1.12 (with gcc257) configured for msdos
to build the gmake versions 3.67 and 3.71 from the standard makefile
without any success. Under plain DOS 6.2 there are no problems.

Are there any special options for compiling gmake to run under Windows,
that are not necessary on the other utilities ?
