This is because 'bool' is a built in type in C++ now.  G++ is the
first compiler to implement this.  "It's a feature, not a bug!" ;-)

The other example looks like a bug in the iostreams library.  Send
mail to bug-lib-g++@prep.ai.mit.edu to report it.
