I have both emTeX and gTeX. It wasn't really difficult to install gTeX 
once some errors in the installation instructions were fixed. A new 
release has recently been issued which, I believe incorporates the 
corrected instructions.

I had no difficulty processing al of the DJGPP .TEX files with gTeX. I 
have not yet tried with emTeX, but would expect no problems.

You can post to comp.text.tex to get any pointers and help.
