But what if you have set SHELL=command.com?  It won't like the -c.  I haven't
looked at the source code for TC 2.0 system(), but in 3.1, it uses COMSPEC
and calls a routine to get the switch character, so you already can use other
shells.  I think that your request would be better met at the application
level than at the extender level.
