Somehow, these options don't work, nor does 'noems', so I have to ask;
Which version of emm386 are we talking about here?
I'm still running 4.00, which is, I'll admit, a bit old. I don't
have docs for this emm386; There's nothing in the Manuals!
(Could that be because I bought it with a 8086?)
