But he was talking about a 3-line hello-world program.  Stdio.h would be the
only necessary include, and it doesn't #include any other files.  I too have
sometimes thought that gcc produced too much disk activity.  Perhaps I should
try my own suggestions; if _everything_ is in a ram disk, there should be no
visible disk activity at all.  I'll try the experiment tonight.
