Well, I bumped up the QDPMI swap file size and the make went on to
loading some more lisp files. Now I ran into a new problem; When it
tries to load float-sup, I get a "Arithmetic error" What does this mean?
How do I get around it. I obviously don't know lisp so have little
intention of debugging lisp macros before I get this dumb thing
installed!

Also, I don't have a hardware '87 processor so I have a go32 environment
variable that looks like this:
Go32=emu c:\djgpp\bin\emu387

This didn't seem to make any difference if it was there or not.

Can anyone help?
Sorry to be such a pest but this task is monumental!
