The relationship between DJGPP/GCC and Windows is somewhat confusing. The
files README.1ST and README.DJ indicate that Windows is supported; but
doesn't go into detail. I don't really believe that it generates code that
is MicroSoft C/C++ compatible (which is needed to link with the Windows
libraries); but my boss wants me to get a more definitive answer. Thus,
does "Windows support" mean that one can create Windows applications using
DJGPP/GCC (or G++), or only that one can launch an application built using
DJGPP/GCC (or G++) from Windows? If one can build Windows applications,
how does reference the various "FAR PASCAL" functions defined in the Windows
API? And as long as we're on the topic of interfaces to other products,
can one use Novell NetWare protocols from within a program built using
DJGPP/GCC to build a distributed application on networked PCs?

I will be glad to summarize responses I get and post it.
