(That's ISO 5.1.1.2, btw... ANSI/ISO use different section numbers)

I guess that makes the solution for sources files to always terminate
lines with '\n' only, since dos compilers don't seem to mind.  The
only possible problem with that is people who port over to OS-9 or
OS-9000 (maybe?) where lines end in '\r'.

Also I remember someone wanting us to try editing a file with only
\n's with a dos editor... The 'edit' program that comes with MS-DOS
has never seemed to mind for me... 
(in fact,
         when I see
                   a file
                         look like
                                  this, I view it with 'edit' if nothing
else is available.
