My desire to use familier i386 syntax to write assembler for my programs
has pushed me into decideing to write a converter between intel 386 and
the form used by gas.

Has anyone got any advice for me before I start on this, eg how do you think
I should do it and can you forsee any pitfalls.

At the moment I am thinking about producing a hybrid assember format with
standerd 386 instructions and gas style comments and structure (.data .text
etc...) and write a source to source file converter that can be included in
a make file as a pre-processor kind of stage.

any ideas anyone?
