Yes, if you do graphics and the built-in driver won't suffice.

Yes, which is the recommended method since it reduces disk space when
they have more than one app, but it also causes some problems when you
have more than one version of go32 in the PATH.

"coff2exe -s go32.exe prog" will make a (larger but) standalone
program.

They have to be in the PATH.

The GO32 variable should point to the graphics driver and 387
emulator.
