Subject: DISPLAY under OS/2
Reply-To: babcock AT cfa DOT harvard DOT edu

Should I expect the image display/processing program DISPLAY by Jih-Shin Ho
to work under os/2? It uses GRX and go32 1.11.maint4. The VESA driver in
the recent GRX maintenance release only recognizes the 320x200x8 mode of my
Cirrus Logic card. A beta VESA driver which I got from the same site as
DISPLAY does recognize other modes, but only the 320x200 mode works, the
others paint only narrow horizontal stripes on the screen. I know that there
are/were problems with graphics and DPMI, so maybe I shouldn't expect this to
work. (It does seem to work under DOS.) Jih-Shin Ho does not run os/2.
