Subject: DV & Multiple threads? [was: *Very* ambitious question....]

DESQview supports multiple *lightweight* threads? Or multiple
processes? They're different things, right?
I agree that preemptive multitasking is a wonderful thing (has
anyone else noticed that the clock stops running when you run
Mathematica under Windows *NT* (not DOS, I said *NT*!!)? I think it
was Mathematica, or maybe it was one of the games, solitaire or
minesweeper. Whatever it was, I gave up on Windows NT that same day.
And don't tell me I could tweak the system to get it to work right, it
should work right out of the box, especially if it doesn't run in less
than 12MB.) It's what make me a fan of DESQview. But I don't think
that the tasks DV creates are exactly lightweight. (Then again, I may
just not understand the DV API docs. They don't even explain what a
"mailbox" or "objectq" is. Maybe the latter is the lightweight
threads you're talking about?)
