I've used it for GIF and it works fine. One thing to note is that your image
pointer goes only to the .r component of the bitmap header structure. The g
and b components are not used. I dumped a 640x480x256 screen by setting
bitmap_hdr.r = MyContext.gc_baseaddr. Also, use GrQueryColor to read your
colour map into a struct with 3 bytes fields (in a 256 long array) and set
bitmap_hdr.cmap to point to this. Read the size from the graphic context too
and in a dozen or so lines you have a GIF dump!
