	Subject: problems with Diamond viper

I have a friend with a PCI Diamond Viper (P9000) with 2 Megs of VRAM.

The built-in VESA driver doesn't seem to work despite the fact that this card
has VESA in bios (he tried with no GO32 env var at all, which used to work fine
whith a ET4000 and a VESA TSR). The EXE has go32 tacked on the front, version
1.11m3. He's in Belgium and I'm in Australia so debugging this is a bit tricky!

He's says the programs seems to run but there is nothing on the screen (ie
normal output logging files are produced).

	Thanks
		Michael Snoswell

1) The Viper (at least the VESA LB version I had access to last summer --
don't know about PCI, though) requires that you load its VESA BIOS
TSR. You have to use the utilities coming with it, it is something like:

       VPRMODE VESA

2) If GO32 1.11's built-in VESA driver does not work with it try the
VIPER-specific driver 'viper.grn' included with GRX 1.03. You still
need to load the VESA TSR, even if you use this driver.
