Hrm ... I tried EMX, and on my 486 SX, it wouldn't run.  Needs floating
point.  Also needs VCPI.  So I downloaded RSX, which is an alternative
extender for it, which will provide FP emulation and DPMI.  However, I
gave up using it because compilation was just far too slow.

Isn't there a third port of GCC, which has just been done?  I have vague
memories of seeing a reference to another port *somewhere* on usenet, but
I can't remember where (could be mistaken).
